Surprised that Sister Svalna isn't getting changed. Have a feeling that Haunting Nightmare will be a meta defining card for priest. Its not a bad deck, but gets destroyed in the current meta because it can never fight back even one Wildpaw Gnoll on 2. Undead shadow priest may actually be good. Its not even strictly that great and is still countered by silences.Ī chance we'll see an archetype that mirrors what bless priest is doing. Thori'belore should be buffed to revive for every fire spell in my opinion. The main problem remains warrior can't draw, and is immensely slower than most decks out there. But admitably there's some really spicy choices here, like nellie (which was the best colossal minion on launch and is currently a joke card) and remornia. Warrior, in my opinion, would probably stay a poor class unless team5 goes completely ham on the changes. Outcast is simply a poor mechanic and without easy ways to cheapen cards like skull it'll never be good. Spell dhunter will still be good despite all this nerfs because what happens is simply that quest dhunter dont get to scam wins out of nowhere anymore.Ĭan't see outcast dhunter be anywhere near tier 2 unless Vengeful Walloper gets a massive change, like getting charge etc. There's a chance someone will work draka rogue back in some capacity, along with cards like Bonelord Frostwhisper, who I think works the best in rogue. Sad to see we wont get the dust from that card.Ĭan't see any other rogue archetype. Probably Wildpaw Gnoll would get a 1-2 mana nerf because of Potion Belt, which to be fair will completely ruin the card, but Im pretty sure we'll never see Maestra of the Masquerade ever again. Rogue will go back to thief, and nearly 100% all in on Queen Azshara or bust. So there's no reason to discuss the nerfs and buffs because there isn't any revealed, so let's have a discussion on how the classes changed would fare in a hypothetical new meta. Well, we knew it was coming and let's be real its been coming a long way back. What do you think they are going to change with each card? Make your predictions in the comments! Of the 25 changes, 7 cards are being nerfed.īuffs are going to be arriving too and for 18 cards! That's a lot of love to go around. All this comes to us after last week's announcement of an announcement of an announcement. announcement of an announcement status with the actual changes that are happening going to be dropping on Thursday with the patch notes, which is presumably the same day the patch hits. In total, 25 cards are going to be hit by the balance changes with most cards of the bunch receiving buffs. These nerfs to Retribution Paladins are expected to go live later today. We've got a major balance overhaul coming to Hearthstone later this week and Blizzard has provided a small look at what is to come. “We overshot the mark here and Retribution Paladins are proving to be more durable than we intended.” “One of our major goals with the rework of Retribution Paladin was to give them a significant boost to their survivability, as this was an area where they were previously underperforming,” Blizzard said in a developer update. Moving forward, Aegis of Protection will only increase the absorption and damage of Shield of Vengeance by 10 percent instead of 20 percent, while the overall duration of Shield of Vengeance will be decreased by five seconds. The biggest nerf to Retribution Paladins’ durability will come to their Aegis of Protection/Shield of Vengeance combo. Lightforged Blessing will now heal for two percent instead of three percent of your maximum HP, while the absorb shield from Fading Light – Blessing of Dusk has been hit with a seven percent decrease. To counteract the spec’s tankiness and healing throughput, Blizzard are also applying a handful of nerfs to Retributions’ defenses. With the combination of a slightly overturned rework and players acquiring more gear, Paladins are rising to the top of the meta effortlessly. Retribution has seen plenty more playtime since its rework, especially since four-DPS Mythic+ compositions that feature the spec are becoming more popular. Retribution Paladins (and Protection Paladins, for that matter) have been extremely popular in recent days, as WoW players have begun to realize the class’ strength as an effective self-healer. Instrument of Retribution-which gives the Paladin a free use of Avenging Wrath whenever an allied party member dies-will have its buff duration decreased from 12 seconds to nine seconds. Retribution Paladins will be receiving a flat nerf to all of their damage, with a baseline reduction of three percent to all sources of DPS. The spec was completely reworked in Patch 10.0.7, and has turned into a DPS juggernaut in both Mythic+ dungeons and raids ever since. Retribution Paladin will be receiving a serious set of nerfs on live WoW: Dragonflight servers, Blizzard has announced.
